Burdick is fair but tough

This is a crucial primary election for law enforcement, victims of crime and all citizens interested in law and order. I am proud to support Roger Burdick's re-election to the Idaho Supreme Court. As the prosecuting attorney in Twin Falls County, I worked closely with Justice Burdick for many years while he served as a district judge in Twin Falls. I know Justice Burdick to be serious and passionate about justice and the role of the judiciary in ensuring it.

In a judiciary often seen as aloof and arrogant, Roger Burdick is uniquely regular. He has an approachable, commonsense style that keeps him connected to the real world and to real people and their real problems. Most importantly, he takes very seriously his duty to protect the community and the rights of its citizens, and he has a sincere and deep concern about the impact his decisions have on the victims of crime. As a district judge, Roger Burdick was not afraid to give criminals bad news. As a Supreme Court justice he has taken the lead in denying frivolous appeals.

Roger Burdick is a tough, fair and compassionate judge with a wealth of common sense and experience. He has been an asset to Idaho and to our highest court. It is crucial to law enforcement and crime victims in Idaho that Roger Burdick be re-elected to the Supreme Court.
