Montessori school closes unexpectedly

The Valley Montessori School in the Airport West subdivision of Hailey shut down Monday night suddenly and without warning.

"There are rumors from here to China about what has happened, but we just don't know," said Kelly Bozzuto, a parent of a Valley Montessori student. She said more than 25 kids were attending the school, which opened in Hailey in December after moving from Bellevue.

Bozzuto said she received a call from one of the school's instructors at 10 p.m. Monday that the school would close Tuesday.

"This has really shaken our trust," she said. "The parents and some of the instructors are trying to help each other out as best we can."

Calls to the school's owners have not been answered.
