Tea party slurs unfair

Regarding "Our View" of April 21, I am a fiscally conservative citizen who detests a large, controlling government and out-of-control budget, bailouts and earmark spending. Many people like myself support the protests of the tea party and most things they stand for. We resent the accusations by your editorial board that we are racists, McVeigh-like terrorists, militant warriors, hate-mongers, etc. We totally support the Constitution, we are law-abiding citizens, we pay more than our fair share of taxes and resent that many liberals support government entitlement programs that will bankrupt our country if they continue.
