Ralph Lemon, born July 11, 1921, passed peacefully on the morning of April 23, 2010, in Littleton, Colo., with family at his side. Ralph will be remembered by all as a gentle, patient, honest and compassionate man who loved skiing, boating, camping, biking, swimming and building or fixing anything. Ralph was a veteran of World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He served and enjoyed 18 years as a volunteer ski patrolman at Winter Park and loved teaching his children and grandchildren to ski. Three of his children, Chuck, Mark and Deborah, were born in the Sun Valley Lodge.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty, whom he met in Sun Valley; daughters, Kate and Deborah; sons Mark and Rick; sister, Wilda, 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His son Chuck preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Sunday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Sterne Park in Littleton, Colo.
