Express spreads liberal hate

It's obvious this newspaper thinks tea partiers are a dangerous, racist, homophobic bunch of hotheads.

You are wrong. In fact, you are either openly lying or are taking hypocrisy to an epic level. First of all, claims that the tea party movement is made up of dangerous "hotheads" are disproven automatically by events. Tea party groups have been around more than a year throwing hundreds, even thousands of protest rallies. Yet, less violence has actually occurred than you might see at a Yankees-Red Sox game.

The common left-wing and media (sorry for the redundancy) response to ordinary Americans trying to get involved in their nation's government is abuse, and lots of it. After 12 months of a battle in which Obama critics were repeatedly demeaned, labeled as racists and told their anger was uncalled for and that their movement was "Astroturf" or "tea baggers." After Democrats in Congress connivingly pass a health care bill, though most Americans opposed it. It's no wonder they are angry.

There are many examples of scary left-wing comments and left-wing violence. The New Jersey Teachers Union recently asked members to pray for the death of their Republican governor. There are countless instances of liberals calling for Bush's assassination when he was president—photos of Bush with a target on his photo. Or the movie "Death of a President," which was made about his assassination. Along with the millions of links Google finds connecting Bush and Hitler. Now, comparisons of Obama to Hitler are "over-the-top" and "racist." Do you not recall your hatred of George Bush?

Your liberal claims to nonviolence are long gone. Once you cut that string, all that remains is your hand wringing and your selective outrage over a few incidents.

Truth be known, if you want to editorialize about hate speech, take a good long look in the mirror. You are purveyors of liberal hate.

Nothing can excuse actual threats to congressmen. But you act as if such threats only come from the right when you know they don't. Now, no one should be threatened for serving this nation. But if politicians can't handle criticism and anger, then they are in the wrong business. And if you, as the media, can't handle this war of words as referees, not players, then you should stay out of it entirely.
