The Eagle Mustangs came to Hailey and staged a high school lacrosse scoring clinic Saturday, beating the Wood River Warriors 17-1 in a Treasure Valley Lacrosse League game on the high school field.

Eagle out-shot the Warriors 39-10 and put 10 different players in the goal scoring column topped by three goals from attackman Brady Harrell. William McCarthy provided the lone Wood River goal.

Other Warriors shots came from Tanner Marcouiller, Nick Chase, Gus Conrad, Drew Deffe, Niels McMahon and William Sutcliff. Goaltender Kasey Barker (10 saves) saw plenty of action. Others were Cal McCarthy, Brian Boyle, Eric Boyle, JR Hill, Riley Heneghan, Rex Kelly, Conner Bennett, Chauncey McGraw, Cooper Rogers and Dillon Begley.

Wood River (1-5-0) played Meridian (5-2-1) Tuesday at Mountain Home. The Warriors stage their third of four home games for the 11-game season Saturday, May 1 at 3 p.m. against Mountain Home Mavericks (5-2) on the Hailey field.

Mountain View has scored 79 goals in its seven games, but lost to Bishop Kelly of Boise 18-6 and to third-place Eagle (5-1-2) by a 12-9 score. Boise (6-0-0) and Timberline of Boise (5-0-3) lead the 13-team league.

Wood River (10 goals scored, 84 goals against) has perhaps its best chance at another league win Tuesday, May 4 at 6 p.m. against the Vallivue High Falcons (0-6) on the Mountain Home field. Vallivue has allowed 83 goals this spring.
