Carey High School's "To the Max" musical group enjoyed a memorable six-day trip to southern California April 13-18 that culminated with the Forum Music Festival held April 17 at the Heritage Forum Theater in Anaheim, Ca.

Music teacher Hollis Pincock said, "Our concert choir received a gold rating (top 10% nationally ranked) at the festival. So did our show choir, 'To the Max,' which earned two gold medal ratings on the trip."

He added, "We were busy every day—with performances at Knott's Berry Farm's Calico Square Stage and at Disneyland's Plaza Garden Stage along with the festival. We also took a show choir clinic during our visit to Disneyland.

"The kids were great and performed well. We packed a lot of experiences into the four days we were in California, and we learned a lot."

On the bus drive south, the group stopped to give an April 13 performance at Shoshone Rehab and Living Center. They also visited Universal Studios and took in a couple of shows in California. On the ride home, they stopped in Salt Lake City for a Tabernacle Choir broadcast.

Directing the group were Hollis Pincock and Camille Pincock.

Students were Taylor Castle, Micaela Adamson, Lorene Andrews, Charmaine Kirkland, Angela Ellsworth, Jaide Parke, Jessica Parke, Amy Ellsworth, Morgan Parke, Austin Hennefer, Shane Bingham, Charlie Rivera, Blair Peck, Antonio Gamino, Lynn Mecham and Brad Peck.
