Try out to be a lifeguard

At the Hailey pool

Anyone interested in becoming a lifeguard at the BCRD Aquatic Center this summer should attend Lifeguard tryouts at the BCRD Aquatic Center on Fox Acres Rd. in Hailey on Saturday, May 1 at 10 a.m.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes since the focus will be on physical fitness and team-building activities.

No swimming will be involved at tryouts but anyone applying must be able to pass a 100-yard swim test prior to lifeguard training if they're hired.

Prior to tryouts, participants must fill out a BCRD job application available at the BCRD office at The Community Campus or online at bcrd.org. Applications should be turned in at the BCRD office before tryouts begin.

Lifeguards must be at least 15 years of age, be physically fit and be committed to providing a safe aquatic environment for everyone. If you are hired, training will be provided in early May. For more info contact Cameron 788-2117 ex, 221.
