Bye Bye Baldy, Hello Hijinks

Sun Valley Co. closed the book on its 74th ski season Sunday, April 18, amid live music, some smoke, tailgating parties, picnics, street dances, sunscreen, smiles, and a “Scorpion Race.” The new gondola lift, all-terrain parks, pond-skimming and big-air events, rail jams and annual ski races were all big successes. The resort’s world-class snowmaking system paid big dividends, yielding consistently great snow all season long, even though Mother Nature did not always cooperate. On Sunday, Bellevue restaurant manager Lindy Stark waves goodbye to Bald Mountain with her last run of the year.
