What was your favorite memory of this year’s ski season?

"I checked the Blackberry from Lookout and saw that my daughter Kaitlyn beat the reigning half-pipe Olympic gold medalist, Torah Bright, at the European Winter X-Games in Tignes, France."

Gary Farrington

South Valley rancher

"Definitely pond skimming."

Ashley McQueen

Ketchum ski coach

"Locally, to come back from Vancouver and the Olympics and find great winter snow here was excellent. All the Olympic ski racers would have much preferred these conditions. Globally, to see Lindsey Vonn race in Cortina and believe that she is the best in the world and that she would do well in Vancouver was exciting."

Tim Ryan

Hall of Fame sports broadcaster

"When five 14-year-old girls stole my beer from my secret Baldy beer hiding place."

Cam Leady

Ketchum bartender

"Sliding down Limelight on my backside, being passed by my pre-schoolers, counting snow guns and coming to a stop on the cat track before launching off it."

Kerstin Swenson

Ketchum teacher

"I went tandem paragliding for the first time and it was unforgettable."

Kate Randall

Sun Valley undercover girl

"The day I got stuck at Seattle Ridge at 8 a.m. with 11 inches of new powder. It was just the ski patrol and us workers and my boss told me he didn't need me to work. So ... I had first tracks and then second tracks, the third and fourth ... epic."

Terry Crawford

Seattle Ridge pizza thrower

"For me it was one of the best three ski seasons out of my 33 years here in Sun Valley due to the weather. There were no thaws and no rain giving us mid-winter conditions all season long capped with one week of outrageous spring skiing to close the season."

Bob Lynn

Ketchum ski veteran

"Cheated death one more time."

David Barovetto

Renaissance man

"We had a big change and it feels good."

Don Wiseman

Former Ketchum ski bum

"My last run. I don't remember much further than that."

Chris Zarkos

Ketchum business owner

"For a year which we were 6 feet under the snowfall average, I think the public really had fun. Sun Valley Co. really stepped it up a notch this ski season. It reminded me of the Golden Years of the 70s."

Kipp Nelson

Ketchum ski bum

"Getting the last chair ride up with Carson Jones-Wilkins and two girls."

Griffin Curtis

Ketchum-area fifth-grader

"This is it. Sixty-five degrees, no shirts, flip-flops and Jimmy Grossman in his surf shorts. It doesn't get any better than this."

Mat Gershater

Ketchum filmmaker

"Sun Valley Co. has put out an extra effort this year with the pond skimming, ski team and giving back to the community."

Randy Flood

Ketchum big kid
