The film "Three Women, Three Hundred Miles" will screen at The Community School Theatre in Sun Valley on Thursday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. The film supports Women for Women International, which provides female survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency.

The film features Ketchum resident Rebecca Rusch, champion mountain bike racer, and two of her friends on an 18-day river trip down the Grand Canyon. The film screening is to build awareness for a project called Women for Women Bicycles for Sudan. Ketchum's Bonni Curran is raising money for Sundan women to buy bikes.

"The bike goes one step further for women because it is a symbol of power," Curran said. "This organization is good, and I know the people who run it. They find a way to make things work."

Curran said this is not a fundraising event and the film screening is meant to create awareness. Curran will be at the screening to talk more about the program and answer questions.

For details, call Bonni Curran at 208-761-7070.
