Elkhorn Golf Club, a private club in Sun Valley, has renewed its management agreement with Troon Golf, an Arizona-based golf course management, development and marketing company.

CG-Elkhorn Golf, the owners of the development at Elkhorn, first hired Troon Golf in 2003 to manage the club and oversee a major multi-million dollar renovation. When Elkhorn reopened 18 months later, Troon was credited with elevating the status of the club. In 10 months, the club added more than 200 memberships, creating a waiting list for new members.

"Elkhorn Golf Club's unique, natural setting, along with its commitment to quality and first-class amenities, make it a vital component to our company's portfolio of golf courses," said John Easterbrook, executive vice president of operations for Troon.

The Elkhorn course was the final father-son collaboration of designers Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., Troon Golf is the world's largest golf management company, overseeing operations at properties located in 31 states and 26 countries. Additionally, 39 Troon Golf facilities enjoy a Top 100 ranking by national or international publications. Troon Golf properties include Oneida Golf and Country Club, Green Bay, Wis.; Troon North Golf Club, Scottsdale, Ariz.; The Clubs at St. James Plantation, Southport, N.C.; Classic Club, Palm Desert, Calif.; and The Grove, London, England.
