Thank you, Doran Key

We are so lucky to live in an area with so much beauty, and so much to be thankful for. We also live in a day and age when adjectives such as "greatest," "best ever" and "awesome" are used to describe something as commonplace as a cup of coffee.

Let me try and put a few of these words to better use by describing someone who has deeply touched not only my family's lives, but countless others.

Her name is Doran Key. For decades she has been the driving force of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation's D team. The D team is for most young skiers in their first foray into organized team activity.

Doran has provided so much comfort and guidance to so many aspiring skiers and nervous parents—every weekend for so many winters. How does she do it? With an endless smile, the best laugh ever and really caring for our children.

After three fun-filled years, my son Keegan will move onto the C team next winter. Last weekend's Hobson Memorial Ski Race, which marks the end of ski team, was be bittersweet for my family.

I hope anyone in attendance whose lives have been touched by Doran took the time to look at her smile and listen to her laugh. We can all learn a lot!

Thank you so much, Doran.
