A Sun Valley Gentleman Retires


Sun Valley Co. brass, ex-Sun Valley employees, old-timers, friends and well-wishers gathered at Carol’s Dollar Mountain Lodge in Sun Valley last Friday to honor Hans Muehlegger, right, who officially retired from Sun Valley Co. after 43 years of esteemed service. Muehlegger ran the gamut of duties for the company, from snow cat mechanic and ski instructor to director of both the Nordic and alpine ski schools. According to Sun Valley Co. spokesman Jack Sibbach, Muehlegger was the consummate company ambassador. “He epitomized the Sun Valley gentleman all the time.” Muehlegger received accolades and gifts from various fans, including Peter Stearns, Sun Valley mountain manager, left, and his wife, Heidi Stearns, center.
