Ketchum police reported Monday that a Hailey man was arrested early Sunday morning following an altercation with a bouncer at the Casino Club on Main Street.

Police Chief Steve Harkins identified the man as 22-year-old Andres Hernandez-Valazq. He was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault for allegedly attempting to punch Casino bouncer Omar Marquez-Nevarez, 31.

Harkins said police are still trying to identify and locate a second suspect who allegedly struck Marquez-Nevarez in the back of the head with a beer bottle.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. Harkins reported the altercation started just after the suspects were ordered to leave the bar for being disruptive.

Harkins said both suspects fled the bar on foot after the altercation. Hernandez-Valazq was arrested shortly after Marquez-Nevarez reported the incident to police,
