Berton William Lange

Berton William Lange left this earth with the sunrise on March 19, 2010, at 7:56 a.m. Bert was born Jan. 5, 1964. He was a free spirit who loved his animals and being outdoors. He was selfless with anyone and especially with his friends and family.

Bert is survived by his son, Zhane, fiancée Heidi; and his brother in life, Roland Brand. Bert's family from Grand Junction include his brother, Rick Lange; sisters, Anita Mitchell and Brenda Lange and her husband, Herb Sanders; and step-dad Bill Novinger. Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Myrtle Lange, and his grandmother, Florence Lange.

A celebration of Bert's life will be held today, Wednesday, March 24, at 6 p.m. Turn right off of Highway 75 onto Riverview Drive (just south of Gannett Road). Follow the road around until you reach Riverside Drive. Turn right and follow the balloons to the end of the road.
