The final Sunday of the 2010 B+ Hockey Season is in the books and pairings are set for the start of the Hutch Cup Playoffs Sunday, March 21 at Sun Valley Skating Center.
At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, the #1-seeded Sharks (10-3-1, 21 points) meet the #6-seeded Wildcats (2-9-3, 7 points. At 7:45 p.m. #2 Vipers (6-4-4, 16 points) go up against the #5 Senators (4-5-5, 13 points).
And at 9 p.m. #3 Isles (6-6-2, 14 points) face off with the #4-seeded Hutch's Bad Dogs (5-6-2, 13 points).
This past Sunday, Sharks had a dress rehearsal for their first-round playoff match-up—taking a Huge bite out of the Wildcats 6-1.
Celebrating her birthday Christl Holzl led the Sharks with two goals. Adding singles were Justin Hellman, Brad Musbach, Jim Hobbs and Steve McCoy. Jim Slanetz erased the shut out late in the last period.
Vipers scored a late goal forcing a 4-4 tie with Hutch's Bad Dogs. Trailing most of the game the Vipers finally got the equalizer seconds before the final buzzer. Jim Laski, Tony Mallane, Gavin McNeil and Benjy Walker scored.
The Senators skated to a 3-0 victory over the Isles. Lucy Chubb, Bryan Speth and Doug Wilson scored for the Nats.
