Scott USA carries lead into St. Paddy’s finale

Town Series ready for two-run finale


Scott USA put up its third straight 0.00 racing day on Baldy's Cozy ski run Wednesday and took a commanding lead into next week's St. Patrick's Day finale of the 19th annual Sun Valley Town Series.

Keeping pace with Scott USA (0.26) after Wednesday's Week Six was second-place Wood River Masonry (0.73)—while Casino Dancing Bears (1.34) and Drunken Blumkens (1.39) jumped into third and fourth place respectively with 0.00 efforts.

On the Scott USA leaders are John Zuck, John Reagle, Toby Arnett and Jeff Page. Wood River Masonry racers are Wes Powell, Cam Fraser, Chase Gouley and Jason Haase. The Casino has Neil Jessen, Kevin Doyle, Paige Griffith and Franny Hjort, and the Blumkens are Ash Higgins, Frank Fiaschetti, Will Roth and Mike Stevens.

Top 15 racers out of 96 in the best single-run format of Wednesday's dual modified giant slalom race:

Robin Sarchett 24.72, Wes Powell 25.51, Matt Murphy 25.86, John Campbell 26.12, Cam Fraser 26.46, John Lee 26.72, Ash Higgins 26.73, Christine Cordeau 27.28, Alan Rickers 27.43, Mike Gowe 27.55, Chase Gouley 27.56, Kipp Nelson 27.65, Steve Brown 27.93, Hank Minor 28.18 and Ashley Brown 28.25.

Jeff Page and Coleman Harder came closest to the rabbit time of 32.60.

The second and final combined two-run event for the 28 teams is Wednesday, March 17 followed by the awards party and raffle announcements at Apple's Bar & Grill.
