Police investigate laundromat vandalism

By TERRY SMITH
Express Staff Writer

The Bellevue Marshal's Office is investigating vandalism that occurred sometime Sunday at the Bellevue laundromat.

Marshal Bryan Carpita said several hundred dollars in damage was caused by vandals who tore up floor tiles and drew obscene sketches with "permanent marker" on walls and chairs at the facility at the corner of Main and Poplar streets.

Carpita said his office has received several other complaints of vandalism at the laundromat.

"It's been an ongoing problem they've had," he said. "It's been little things here, little things there."

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call the marshal's office at 788-3692.
