Poor excuses for TV outages

For the most part, cliches are true, with the exception of Cox and the cliche that goes like this: "You get what you pay for." There are always exceptions to everything, as with this saying and our cable provider, or my cable provider. It's Wednesday afternoon and the one channel I watch has been out from, oh, at least 10 a.m. until present, 1 p.m., and oh, what a rip-off it is. Cox should be ashamed of itself, charging what it charges, and the product that we receive.

I wish I didn't have such a bad habit and dependency that I have on TV, but this isn't about my bad habits, it's about bad business. I am ashamed to admit, but in such a terrible economy, and since my children were born, we have always had cable, not always enough gas in the truck or dog biscuits, etc., but we never went without cable. There, I said it, whew.

I don't want to hear any lame excuse why a transmitter blah, blah, blah. Cox cable is right there with your late fee added to your bill that arrives on time. With all the money Cox charges, I would think that they should have state-of-the-art equipment to ensure we get what we pay for.

Buck up, Cox!
