Danny Sibrian scored 23 points Tuesday night as Sturges Productions completed a 12-0 unbeaten regular season with a 91-69 victory over Sutton's in Sun Valley Co./Power Engineers men's basketball action.
Sturges (12-0, 83.5 ppg) takes the top seed into the 10-team tournament at The Community Campus gym, Hailey. The regular-season champs will open Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of Thursday's first-round game between #7 Atkinsons' and #10 Bigwood Auto Body/Blaine County Rec.
Two-time defending tournament champ Jivaro Headhunters (9-3) moved into the second seed by virtue of the result of Tuesday's other game in Hailey. In that one, Luke Macdonald's 18 points helped third-seeded Rocky Mountain Hardware/Soundwave (9-3) to relegate SV Auto Club/Growing Concern (9-3) to the fourth seed by a 63-58 score.
Sunday's action features four games in the double elimination tournament. Weekday action resumes Tuesday, March 2 with three evening games. Championship is set for Thursday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m.
