The Sawtooth Botanical Garden is going all out for its first ever Mardi Gras benefit party. It will be hard not to grab some beads and sip on Hurricane punch while the party sounds of the valley's own FourStroke Bus play their brand of soulful sounds.

The benefit will take place on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden south of Ketchum off Hwy. 75. Costumes as well as masks are required.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and FourStroke Bus will play from 7-10 p.m. Individual tickets are $30 and $50 for two.

In addition, the garden will have a date auction. Attractive single people will be up for auction and the winning bidder will receive a gift certificate at a valley restaurant for a date. Restaurants include Vintage, The Pioneer, CIRO and CKs. The garden encourages non-single people to bid for their single friends.

The garden did not have a winter benefit and wanted to take advantage of a Mardi Gras celebration with a no host bar serving beer, wine and Hurricanes. In addition, the garden will serve a New Orleans Cajun stew and King Cake. Outdoor fire pits will keep attendees warm. The garden has a limited number of tickets available.

For details, call 726-9358.
