The Cox Communications Winter Concert Series begins Thursday, Feb. 11, from 4-6 p.m. in Ketchum's Town Plaza on Fourth Street. The concerts will continue every Thursday through March 25. The first show features Matt Hopper. No stranger to the Wood River Valley, Hopper has played here with his band, The Roman Candles, on several occasions.

Hopper plays a variety of music including rock 'n' roll, folk, psychedelic, dance and blues, and has been compared to such luminaries as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Drive-By Truckers, Jack Johnson, Van Morrison, The Stokes, Kings of Leon and Ryan Adams.

The events are presented by Cox Communications and sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon, Hayden Beverage, Mountain Town Events and the city of Ketchum. LeRoy's will be open serving hot chocolate, adult beverages and crepes. The event is free and open to the public.
