Cody Richmond

Wood River Middle School student Cody Richmond was the winner of the 2010 National GeoBee at the Hailey school. Cody will compete against other Idaho school finalists for the state title. The state winner will receive $100, a globe, and a trip to Washington, D.C., where he or she will represent Idaho in the national finals at the National Geographic Society headquarters. The national winner will receive a $25,000 scholarship.

Jack Van Paepeghem of Hailey, a 2007 Wood River High School graduate, has been named to the Fall 2009 Dean's List at the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Samantha K. Engel, a freshman from Hailey, was among the 987 undergraduate students named to the Gonzaga University President's List for fall semester 2009. Students must earn a 3.7 or better grade-point average to be listed.
