Teens support live music

I performed in one of five bands that played the Crisis Hotline benefit at nextStage Theatre on Friday. The audience was mostly comprised of teens who may have come primarily to hear the band Toast. However, this young audience stayed for each and every band even after Toast was finished. They danced, listened, sang and were one of the most fun audiences I have ever had the opportunity to play for. They were happy, positive and present. Thanks, Toast fans for supporting the other bands.

It's clear that the underage crowd loves to come out and listen to live music whenever they can for good, clean fun. The current economic conditions have created a renaissance for the local music scene. Day jobs are scarce so we have more opportunity to play, write, record and rehearse. Follow the young ones' call and go hear some live music whenever you can. It's out there and it's good.
