Police investigate lodge break-in

By TERRY SMITH
Express Staff Writer

The Ketchum Police Department is investigating a possible burglary late Sunday night at the Warm Springs day lodge.

Police Chief Steve Harkins said Wednesday that it's not certain that a burglary occurred. He said Sun Valley Co. hadn't reported anything yet found missing, but evidence suggests that someone attempted to steal food items.

Police were called to the lodge by security personnel shortly before midnight because a window was found open into a locker room. Harkins said that upon inspection of the premises, police found two sacks of groceries in the room. Also, video surveillance captured suspicious activity, including possible suspects, in a food storage area.

Harkins said the case has been assigned to a department detective who is still investigating.
