The music scene in the Wood River Valley has been turned up a few notches. Whiskey Jacques' is enjoying its new venue, as are the musicians who love to play there. Coming back for another show is the Jeremiah James Gang on Saturday, Jan. 23.

In addition, James loves the Rolling Stones and his favorite Stones albums are "Let it Bleed" and "Exile on Main St." James will also play the Silver Dollar in Bellevue on Friday, Jan. 22, at 9 p.m.

Whiskey's will present the LBC Sublime Tribute Band featuring Q Ball this evening. On Friday, Jan. 22, the valley's very own Four Stroke Bus will walk on to the new Whiskey's stage for the first time to play their hip arrangements of rock 'n' roll music including songs by Widespread Panic and the Grateful Dead.

All shows at Whiskey Jacques' begin at 10 p.m., with tickets available at the door.

Other live music around town includes Papa Hemi's Hideaway in Ketchum. The Hideaway will feature the J. Ward Band this evening from 6-9 p.m., Freehand, which includes Sheryll Mae Grace, Aaron Pugh and friends on Friday, Jan. 22, and Bruce Innes and friends on Saturday, Jan. 23. On Friday and Saturday evenings the music starts at 6:30 p.m.
