In a society that is accustomed to instant gratification, accepting alternative healing processes for pain, emotional stress and many other health issues may not always be a first choice. However, ignoring one's health or mental discomforts may be a missed opportunity for healing.
Travis Scott practices reorganizational healing, which uses one's pain or emotional situation to find relief.
"It's a model on looking at one's overall state of health," Scott said. "We all experience discomfort, which is anything from stress and tension to chronic illness, pain, anxiety and depression."
Scott said that when something disrupts our life, we need to stop it. He said that when a symptom disrupts a pattern in living, that is unhealthy.
"Pain, whether it is physical, emotional or mental, will deny part of our experience," Scott said. "What if pain is an opportunity for growth? That is where I come in and use methods to help a person gain back their ability to live without pain and become resourceful."

He said no condition is permanent and there is always a plan for recovery. Scott will concentrate on the nervous system to readjust it, using healing methods that include Somato respiratory integration, a hands-on healing therapy practice.
"People want immediate results," Scott said. "Through reorganizational healing, healing can become effortless."
Scott will give a free lecture about reorganizational healing on Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Community Campus in Hailey. He will discuss the principles of reorganizational healing, practitioners and healing strategies.
"It's like a physical meditation—you become present," Scott said.
