Souper Supper there to help

As the new year begins, we would like the community to know that the Souper Supper dining room is still going strong after 12 years of service.

Souper Supper is still serving hot meals to those who need them, without question, on Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. at St. Charles Parish Hall in Hailey. We are forever grateful to St. Charles Church for its generosity over the last 12 years. They have given us our home.

We attribute our success to the generosity of our community. A huge thank you goes out to all those involved in the Turkey Trot and also to the Wicked Spud for including us in its fundraisers. Albertsons contributes bakery goods, meat, dairy and produce on the nights we serve, which we provide as take-out for our guests. Atkinsons' and Big Wood Bread continue to support us throughout the year.

School groups, church groups, neighborhood groups and individuals throughout the community form crews to prepare and serve these meals. For each and every one of them we are so very grateful. They have turned us into the smooth-working organization that gets better every year.

In 2009, Souper Supper dining room served more than 7,000 meals.
