New Marketron CEO plans to hire in Hailey

Marketron Broadcast Solutions, a media software company based on Empty Saddle Road in Hailey, may soon be hiring. The company produces and sells software for media businesses, primarily those in radio and television.

Steve Minisini, CEO of the company since October, said he plans to expand the reach of the company from Internet radio and TV to outdoor advertising and other forms of media.

"Today, our primary market is in the radio and TV world," Minisini said in an interview. "We plan to bring new software and services to the entire media ecosystem."

Marketron came to Hailey in 1972 from San Mateo, Calif. Marketron Broadcast Solutions, as the company is known today, laid off 15 Hailey employees in 2006.

Now, Minisini said he plans to grow the company, bringing two or three executives to Hailey and hiring 12 to 14 people in marketing, product management and services.

"Most of those positions will be hired in Hailey," Minisini said. "The Wood River Valley is a great place to live and a great place to raise a family."
