A 73-year-old Ketchum woman was transported to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center following a slide-off last week near the intersection of Gimlet Road and Canyon Drive, south of Ketchum.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as Louise McElhinny. She was taken to the hospital by Ketchum Fire Department ambulance.

The accident occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22. Sheriff's Lt. Jay Davis said McElhinny was driving a green 1996 Isuzu Trooper.

"She came around a corner that was icy, lost control and went off the road and into a ditch and hit a tree," Davis said.

He said McElhinny suffered possible fractures of her left arm.
