Friedman gets kudos for security

Transportation Security Administration employees at Idaho's six commercial airports—including Friedman Memorial Airport's TSA staff—collectively have won TSA's 2009 "Airport of the Year" award."

Some 400 U.S. commercial service airports were eligible for the award. Idaho's commercial airports are at Boise, Twin Falls, Hailey, Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Lewiston.

Idaho's TSA units were cited for high test results, the "Best Employee Advisory Council in the Northwest," positive customer feedback and special performance during the 2009 Special Olympics winter games.
