Our brother, Walt, died Dec. 6, 2009, in Laughlin, Nev., where he had lived for several years, enjoying the desert and its solitude. Prior to living in Nevada, Walt spent a very memorable chapter of his life in the Wood River Valley during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The community was smaller and more intimate then, and Walt was a very familiar face around town. He so enjoyed the lifestyle and the beauty of our valley, and he genuinely cared for his friends.
There will be those who remember him for his humor and exuberance, while others will be reminded of his sensitive side, his generosity and his smile. If a man's life is defined by the sum of its parts, then Walt's Idaho years were as important to him as they were to those who knew him. Our family will miss him greatly; as will the people whose lives he touched along the way.
