8 face interviews for airport advisory seats

Eight nominees competing for four seats on the Blaine County Airport Advisory Committee will be interviewed Thursday, Dec. 3, and Friday, Dec. 4, by Blaine County commissioners before four are selected.

Three seats are from County Commission districts, the fourth from the aviation community.

One other seat on the committee representing the entire county will be filled either from the pool of 17 applicants or from a new search, according to Commissioner Tom Bowman.

The eight nominees are:

District 1 (south of Fox Acres Road, Hailey):

· Terry Basolo, a 31-year Blaine County resident and executive director of the Blaine County Community Drug Coalition.

· Adrienne Robideaux, a three-year county resident and owner of a retail business called Susie Paperie.

District 2 (Hailey to East Fork Road):

· Vanessa Fry, an eight-year county resident, executive director Citizens for Smart Growth.

· Mark Kelly, a one-year county resident, co-owner of KW Real Estate.

District 3 (north of East Fork Road):

· Jack Bariteau, 13-year county resident, partner in Keenan and Bariteau developers.

· L. Carl Harris, a four-year county resident, board chairman of Harris and Associates engineers.

Aviation Community:

· George Kirk, a 21-year county resident, CEO of the Kirk Group developers.

· Chris Stephens, a 20-year county resident, president of 5B Investments.
