Let’s develop geothermal

Sixty million dollars? Wow! What could we create in our community with that kind of energy? If we intend to enact and invest in sustainability (social, economic and environmental), let's look to our local resources. Say, for instance, Democrat Gulch (one of the best geothermal resources in our state).

Our community could develop the geothermal to produce power, heat and a public hot springs complex. With hundreds of acres it could include Croy Canyon Ranch and room for sustainable educational facilities (K-12, vocational, green tech, etc.).

Many fine, well-intentioned people are envisioning lasting environmental prosperity. Put thought into action. Let's retain our valley's environmental attributes for generations. A land trust is a bond with our future.

P.S. Santa, can you bring the train back to the valley?
