NOTES—The 2010 Northside 1A Division 2 boys' tournament includes 8 schools—Community School, Richfield, Bliss, Camas County, Carey, Dietrich, Magic Valley Christian and Murtaugh. It is scheduled for 5 nights at Dietrich High School, Feb. 17, 22, 23, 24 and 25.....The conference gets 2.5 seeds to state.....The top 2 teams automatically qualify for the state tournament in Caldwell, and the 3rd-place Northside team has a play-in game Feb. 27 in Glenns Ferry against the Boise-area (District 3) runner-up team....... The 8-team State 1A Division 2 boys' tournament is March 4-6, 2010 at Caldwell High School. At the state tournament, the Northside champion plays the eastern Idaho runner-up in the first round, while the Northside runner-up goes against the Boise-area champion.....The state play-in winner takes on the northern Idaho champion in the first round....The mercy rule (running clock except time outs) will be invoked at any time during the 4th quarter of regular-season games when the point differential is 30 points or greater. It may not be used in post-season tournament games.
