A 55-year-old Ketchum woman faces a DUI charge after she allegedly crashed into two parked cars Sunday evening in west Ketchum.

Ketchum police identified the woman as Margaret M. Burbridge. She was taken to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center for a blood draw after the accident but did not sustain any injuries in the crash, Ketchum Police Chief Steve Harkins reported Tuesday in a news release.

The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. near the intersection of Sixth Street and Fourth Avenue.

Sun Valley police investigated the accident "due to a conflict of interest," Harkins reported.

Sun Valley Assistant Police Chief Mike Crawford said Burbridge is a "close friend" of the Ketchum officer who was dispatched to the scene.

Crawford said Burbridge was not arrested because of "health reasons" but was issued a misdemeanor citation instead.

Police estimated damage at $2,200 to the Burbridge vehicle and $1,200 to the two parked cars.
