Ketchum needs change

The opposition to the incumbents running for re-election on Nov. 3 are united under one word: change. We have got to get rid of Randy Hall and Baird Gourlay. We have got to restore fiscal responsibility and transparency to our Ketchum government.

I don't know about you, but here is whom I'm voting for:

1) Mayor: Phyllis Shafran, a genius at financial organization, thanks to a life-time background in finance for clients here and in Southern California.

2) Council: Lee Chubb, an intelligent, eloquent, impatient resident who, having held the current council's feet to the fire to no avail, will assume the lost role of listening to the citizens and second-home owners who live here because, contrary to other ski resorts, Ketchum/Sun Valley is a ''community."

3) Council: Ed Simon, although controversial because of his prior position as mayor of Ketchum, is a genius at municipal law and, hence, will rectify the illegalities the current government is pursuing.

Join me in returning Ketchum to a pride-worthy, trustworthy and transparent community wherein all of our tax dollars are being put to explainable use!

Ruth Lieder
