Bellevue voters will choose three out of four contenders for City Council on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Incumbents Brett Gelskey and Gene Ramsey face challenges from Tom Perry and Dave Hattula for two-year terms.
Gelskey, who manages the Ohio Gulch recycling center, was appointed to the council last year by Mayor Jon Anderson. Ramsey, who has served on the council for two years, works as a Blaine County chief deputy sheriff.
Tom Perry owns Perry Microsystems. Hattula is a painting contractor. Neither of the challengers has experience in government but have stated that they believe they can bring fresh ideas to the table.
Voters can cast ballots at City Hall, 115 E. Pine St., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.
City Hall will be open to receive absentee ballots on Monday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
