A 25-year-old Blaine County man was sentenced Tuesday to six years in prison after pleading guilty earlier to possession of cocaine.

Lesdi Gabriel Parra-Quinones will be required to spend three years behind bars before parole eligibility. He was sentenced by 5th District Court Judge John K. Butler.

Parra-Quinones is one of five suspects arrested in February and March in a major drug bust by the Blaine County Narcotics Enforcement Team. Three of the others have also been sentenced to incarceration, while the case against 35-year-old Francisco Llamos-Espino is still pending in court.

Parra-Quinones was originally charged with three drug felonies, but accepted a plea agreement with the Blaine County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and pleaded guilty to a single count of possession in exchange for the other two charges' being dismissed.

He was being held in the Blaine County jail on Thursday awaiting pickup by the Idaho Department of Correction.

According to court records, Parra-Quinones is an illegal immigrant and will be deported once released from prison.
