The condition of an 83-year-old Twin Falls woman injured in a traffic accident last week north of Hailey has been upgraded to fair at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Wanda Glasmann was flown in serious condition by emergency helicopter to Boise following the two-vehicle accident just before noon on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the intersection of state Highway 75 and Ohio Gulch Road.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office reported that Glasmann sustained leg, hand and internal injuries.

Four other people injured in the collision were treated and released at St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center.

The sheriff's office reported Monday that the accident is still being investigated.

Glasmann is the mother of Wood River High School graduate Kevin Swigert, now 54. He is the director of the Wells Fargo Boulder Mountain Ski Tour and was a U.S. Nordic national champion in 1976 and 1978. Swigert was the first major international cross-country ski competitor to come out of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation program.
