I applaud Kristine Sedlack on the feeding of elk.
Few seem to care about the habitat taken from elk and other wildlife in order for their houses to be built. Those are the selfish ones not wanting any wildlife to nibble on their shrubs and flowers, rather turning their backs to the animals starving to death.
We feed a herd of deer in the winters in Michigan. All are healthy. The herds not fed starved a horrible death.
Those of us who know and are sensitive to the responsibility we have to wildlife would rather have healthy herds of deer or elk for hunting season, over the cruel and unnecessary painful starvation, which in the end no one benefits from.
Kristine is also right that we are just "guests" of this wilderness. Feed the elk! Share this wilderness rather than being so selfish as well as stupid by letting the elk herd starve to death.
