Hall has the vision

I would like to urge Ketchum residents to vote for Randy Hall for mayor on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Although I live in Hulen Meadows, which is not within the city limits, I have great affection for Ketchum, having served as city administrator for 25 years (1977-2002).

During the last several years, I had the pleasure of working with Randy Hall when he was a Planning and Zoning commissioner and a city councilman. When Randy asked me to serve as interim city administrator in January 2008, I agreed because I know him to be a leader with a vision for Ketchum as a vibrant and prosperous community for both residents and businesses.

Randy Hall is also a consensus builder and he works extremely well with the members of the City Council and city staff. He has worked effectively in the many public meetings that resulted in adoption of the Ketchum master plan. He then worked cooperatively with the City Council to implement the master plan with the initiation of the Fourth Street improvements and the acquisition of key downtown properties for current and future public purpose and public use.

His experience as mayor and his vision for Ketchum are needed now to deal with the difficult issues facing the city, such as the annexation of the Sun Valley Co. property at River Run and future hotel development.

Please vote for Randy Hall for mayor on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
