Shaved heads for dollars at Homecoming

Homecoming Week at Hailey’s Wood River High School had a clean-shaven twist this year. During Tuesday’s post-lunch assembly in the school gym, 17 Wood River teachers had their heads shaved to show solidarity for art teacher Betty Ervin, a cancer survivor who is undergoing treatments. The head shaving raised a considerable amount of money to help Ervin with medical expenses. Participating teachers included Kari Haugen, Lindi Davis, Glenn Lindsley, John Rade, Mark Bucknall, James Foster, Max Stimac, Kevin Lupton, Matt Phillips, John Galgano, Sam Schrader, Eleanor Rogers, Joel Zellers, Janet Dennis and Andy Lewis.
