Exempt seniors from levy

As a retired senior with no children I am against the proposed school levy.

Approximately one-third of my property taxes goes to the school district. The theory that the levy will benefit the community is illogical as I'm neither a contractor nor a building materials supplier so any increase in their business will not impact my bottom line positively.

If students need more laptops let their parents buy them. The prices are the lowest in years. If school buildings have leaking roofs, ask the original contractor to make the necessary repairs free of charge to make up for shoddy workmanship.

I believe seniors should be exempt from school levies and not have to pay to educate other peoples' children.
