A 19-year-old Hailey man escaped injury early Sunday afternoon when he flipped his vehicle end over end on state Highway 75 north of East Fork Road.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office reported that Ignacio Martinez was southbound in a red 1990 Jeep Cherokee at about 12:40 p.m. The vehicle went out of control, left the roadway and flipped, landing on its top.

Sheriff's Lt. Jay Davis said Martinez was likely wearing a seatbelt because he refused treatment and didn't have any visible injuries.

Martinez told police that he had worked an extra shift at Sun Valley Co. and fell asleep while driving home.

Davis said Martinez was issued citations for an allegedly expired driver's license and failure to provide proof of insurance. Davis said the vehicle was totaled.
