Try some politics with your pizza

Political forum tonight in Ketchum

By EXPRESS STAFF

Ketchum voters can participate in a discussion with Ketchum's mayoral and City Council candidates tonight as they enjoy a free slice or two of pizza.

The Idaho Mountain Express will host this season's opening Pizza and Politics forum today, Sept. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in Ketchum City Hall. Candidates for two seats on the City Council are incumbent Baird Gourlay, Ed Simon, Lee Chubb, Peter Lewis, Nina Jonas, Carter Ramsay and Jan Hegewald. Candidates for mayor are incumbent Randy Hall, Mickey Garcia and Phyllis Shafran.

Members of the press and the public will have opportunities to pose questions to the candidates. Candidates will have the opportunity to present their ideas and platforms. Press and public attending should take note that questions cannot address only one candidate but must be answerable by all candidates in each race.

The forum will be moderated by Express Editor Gregory Foley. It is scheduled to last for one to two hours, depending on the number of candidates participating.

The Express has organized the event as a public service.

In coming weeks, other Pizza and Politics forums will take place for Sun Valley, Hailey and Bellevue candidates.
