Since March, Play It Loud Productions, founded by Daniel Stoltz and Elizabeth Irby, have been creating dance parties in Ketchum at the 511 Building. The venue has been created as another option for people to dance and enjoy some nightlife.

The latest party, planned for Friday, Oct. 2, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., is a "Black-and-White"-themed party encouraging attendees to dress in black and white or some version of the theme.

"We wanted to do something a little bit different," Irby said. "People here love to dress up and want to dance."

The 511 Building is on the corner of Fifth Street and Leadville Avenue in Ketchum. DJ Deben has been hired from San Diego and the party will feature a new sound system.

"It's dance music with original songs mixed and played in a way that is different but accessible," Irby said. "It will be fun, and we have a ridiculous sound system that everyone will enjoy."

The party will have a full bar in two parts. Drinks will be priced from $3-$6 for beer and alcohol. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door.

"It will be different than the first two parties," Irby said. "It takes a couple of attempts to do something right. I think this is something the valley needs."

Irby said she hopes to create parties once a month, such as First Fridays. Many people have helped Irby and Stoltz plan, and photos from the party will be posted on their Web site at justplayitloud.com.
