Eleven members of the Sun Valley Figure Skating Club traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah to compete in "Oktoberfest," a Sept. 17-19 competition hosted by Cottonwood Heights FSC.
The skaters had a great time and brought home 23 medals.
Hemingway Elementary School third grader Alex Stuessi, 9, captured the "Most Distinguished Showcase Award" with her unique Chiquita Banana performance created by coach Gia Guddat.
Gold medalists were Isabella Bourret (Freeskate/Artistic), Sheldon Gentling (Artistic/Showcase), Alex Stuessi, Emma Stuessi, Claire Stickney (Showcase) and the highest level SV skater at the competition, Nicole Pratt (Artistic).
Coaches Darlin Baker and Holly Wheeler accompanied the skaters. In descending order of USFS Freeskate level, the results were:
