Chairman supports levy

As chairman of the board of trustees of the Blaine County School District, I only cast votes to break a tie.

I did not join my board members in voting because they all supported the levy. Terry Smith in his front-page article ("School board approves October levy election," Sept. 11) indicated I did not vote, perhaps suggesting I do not support the levy. I completely support the proposed levy, which will provide necessary funds to continue the excellent education our public school students receive.
